I recently fished Clear Lake where I traditionally flyfish using mostly green Carey Specials and dark olive Woolley Buggers and various leech patterns. I typically fish them 5 to 10 feet and do quite well, however not so this evening, I was forced to 25 to 35 feet of water, slow drifting a black Mohair Bugger, tied in a size 10 streamer. Soon I was playing a 3lb triploid rainbow planted this spring. Much more action and excitement followed for the next 2 hours of daylight. I recommend Clear to anyone interested in a true fishing experience. Always catch and release.
