Fished Potholes Reservoir during our annual cast and blast camp out. The duck hunting was good but the fishing, even with nice weather, was slow. In two days of hunting and fishing we only caught a half dozen fish (perch, bluegill and one bass), none measuring over six inches long.

We had a boat and were in the North Potholes area, targeting beaver huts and deeper channels. We threw the basics out there (plastics, cranks, spinnerbaits and jigs) with little success.

Oh well, at least the weather and the duck hunting was good and even though the fishing was poor - we were at least fishing!
