Arrived Friday night and started trolling inside the dunes for walleye and trout. We used double whammy's/worm and wally pops/worm. In 2 hours we had 4 walleye in the boat between 3 guys, the largest about 3 pounds. Saturday was a banner day. We again trolled through the narrow openings just inside the dunes and did well. We kept the live well full, releasing smaller walleye. Then around 6 p.m. it got hot. Within 45 minutes we landed two 10 pound and one 5 pound walleye. What a day! Between the 3 of us we kept 10 walleye and released around 20, and kept 3 nice trout. A live well is a necessity to keep fishing for the big one. Sunday I had 4 people in my boat and we kept 8 walleye and 1 trout, and released around 20 walleye. A double whammy/worm with a SILVER blade and a small lead weight in 11-15 feet of water was the ticket. What a weekend!
