My son and I left Auburn at 0500 on the morning of Friday the 13th 2002. We arrived at the Lind Coulee launch at the Potholes at about 0915 and by 0930 had arrived at the fishing fleet around Goose Island. We both rigged up with a bottom bouncer and a double whammy lure. He used orange and I used an ugly green. About 30 minutes later, John caught the first Walleye. A nice 18 inches. About 30 minutes later, John caught the second one. A nice 10 POUNDER. About 30 minutes later, I caught my first fish. A nice 6 inch Small Mouth. That pretty much says it all for me. John caught one more 18 inch Walleye and a 15 inch trout which we released. We went to Mar Dons to weigh and take a picture. The next morning, I bought a couple of orange double whammies. Ended up catching and releasing about a dozen Small Mouth bass between us. The weather was great, the launch was okay for the lake level, (1027), we had a safe journey back home where I discovered my camera had stripped the leader on the film and was taking one picture over and over the stripped leader. Bummer, had to be the Friday the 13th that caused this.
