This launch has always been a bugger but man is it getting SKINNY! Lots of silt has settled in and it's not far from being impassable.

Launched around 10am off at 2:30. Water temps were 53 to 57 degrees. I didn't touch a fish on the west side. Finally hooked and lost one on a jerkbait at the channel. Then hooked a 4lb largie on the jerkbait and thought I was on to something. Nothing but spooked fish for the next hour inspired me to throw something more subtle.

Tried a drop shot, small swimbait, squarebill and Senko. Picked up a jig and it immediately got hammered by a smallie! Stayed with this until I had to leave! Largest fish was the 4lb largemouth but boated a few smallies between 3 and 4 pounds.

I'd say that was a really good day. I haven't fished there for years. Thanks for the boat launch info.

Nice day of fishing. Never been there but the ramp looks really shallow. Nice to fish a lake that has Large's and Smallie's.

Good talking to you for a few minutes when we were leaving , your right that launch is getting bad . I was thinking it was pretty shallow when I launched and I was in a kayak . Awesome you snagged some nice ones at the end !

Good early catch! I haven't fished that lake since July 1984. Didn't catch any smallies but did find a nice largemouth that liked the looks of my white spinnerbait.

Yeah the smallies have really spiked the last 10 years. It's unfortunate. They are fun but the largemouth here have been and will continue to decline, just like Goodwin.
