We had some clients this weekend that were interested in targeting some pre-spawn trophy walleye in the Columbia! For the most part, our bigger pre-spawn fish are females that are full of eggs. Early in the spawn phase these females move up into the shallows and start making beds. The males tend to stay in the deep water and do not move up until closer to the actual spawn. Females become very aggressive and go on a feeding spree storing up for their spawning activities. We target these fish many different ways, but using jigs and plugs tends to be the go to. If interested in a trip with Munden's Rising Son Adventures, give us a call today! We would love to have you and can accommodate any any group size!
