Decided to give this lake another chance and was very disappointed. Spoke to a fish biologist on Sat. and the lake had a large fish kill this summer. They had to restock the lake with jumbo trout 2 weeks ago and those were the bulk of the fish being caught. Decent 14-15 inchers. Slow fishing both Sat. and Sunday with 3 caught using a spinner. Fish were being caught, but it was not the normal opener. The fish biologist was at odds on what to do with this once fantastic lake. Water quality and algae bloom is a problem. My line was brown after several hours of fishing. He said they may switch to a staggered stocking program and stock larger fish.
