Ramp was snow covered in the morning so I slid 1/2 way down the ramp. Ice build up at water line after the water dropped and left ice. There was no ice on the Spokane arm but two section in front of the marina where I had to break through about 1" of ice.
Walleye fishing was terrible but did catch a decent pike on a little white jig. 34" 14.75 lbs. Water temp is 33.7 deg. as the snow kept falling ice created layer of slush but that melted be noon.

Yes, I did as I did with the one I caught last Friday. Both were within 100' of the same spot.
FYI the tribe is paying 10. for each pike caught.

Just leave the head, there's some fine eating right there. :-)

haha that would be quite a mess if everyone stuck whole fish in the deposit freezer.

That's mighty heavy for a 34" pike. Last on I caught that heavy was 39" in North Dakota. Pike spawn in cold water right after ice breaks. Probably full of eggs? Ditto on the great eating. Look for a you tube on how to fillet to get the y bones out. Great cut into nuggets for fish and chips. Best if they don't stay too long in the freezer. More flavor than walleye. Bigger flakes of white meat.
