It has been tough Walleye fishing the last 3 days on the North end of Lake Roosevelt but today it picked up. About 8:30am, I met up with my good neighbor and friend, Dean B. We decided to make a friendly bet on who could put the most fish in the boat by the end of today. The morning hours were a little slow and about 10:00 am it picked up finally. We caught all of our fish today from 120'-160' deep on a tractor green 1 ounce jig. The water temperature was 34 degrees so we targeted fish from 100' at first with no results and found them much deeper.
By the end of the day Dean ended up putting 13 keepers in the boat and myself 10 fish! Dean beet me on the last drift by 3 fish! It is hard to beat a guy that has been fishing Walleye on Lake Roosevelt for the past 29 years. Great job Dean! Until the next outing neighbor...
Good luck and Good Fishing Everyone!!!!!
