Went to Banks Lake today and the fishing was great. Got there late. Launched at the Coulee City launch and started fishing about a half mile out at around 10AM. 10 minutes after I got my line out I caught a beautiful 17" rainbow that was super fat. Shaped like a football. Put that one in the ice chest. About a half hour later I landed a 22" rainbow, which I also kept. Landed a few other fish that I released. The smallest fish of the day was about 15". Caught them all with 300' of 10lb mono-filament main line behind the boat trolling a large black and yellow woolly bugger with a piece of night crawler and a salad shrimp soaked in a mixture of anise oil and bloody tuna scent, with a 1/4 oz slip sinker and about 3' of 8lb leader. I was trolling out in the middle between 1.5 and 2 mph. With that my presentation had to be very near the surface. I fished from about 10AM till 3PM. Gotta love those Banks Lake fish:-)
