Last Monday my son and I took the grandsons (3 and 5) fishing at Lake Bonney after dinner. It was a great evening to be out in the boat with the kids even though the fish weren't really biting. After trying bobber and worm and casting and retrieving for awhile they were getting bored so we let them troll as we headed back to the launch.
As we were coming up the north side of the lake Doug caught this little bass and as you can see he got quite excited. This is what makes fishing fun, they don't care what size they are or what kind they just think it's fun to catch something. So take a kid fishing!
