Ventured up to Patterson Lake from some Christmas eve ice fishing. The goal was to find some crappie thru the ice and the lake didn't disappoint. The crappie bite was consistent for the first few hours of the morning but pretty quickly tapered off by noon. Fish were in 6-10' of water and associated with weedy flats. I also caught several 9 to 11" perch, a handful of bluegill and trout, as well as numerous bass up to 2 lbs.

Ice was 4.5" thick.

Nice video, very informative as usual. Thanks. I have really been enjoying crappie fishing recently..... even though I feel like a dork at the annual family christmas fishing conversation.

Nice video once again. I know you have done a video from Curlew Lake in the past. Have you heard anything about ice on Curlew lately? Just wondering if there is any yet.

patterson and Curlew are similar in elevation. I bet a guy could call that gas station right down the road and find out if any one has been out on the ice.
