We dipped the Doghouse into The Drink before sun-up... A wee bit cool but what came afterwards made it well worth it. A little breezy at times, but as the sun came up the mist began to rise off the lake. The osprey was AWOL as we went beneath his/her nest on the power lines---no screeching today! The water temperature was much cooler than it was a month ago--- the fish changed their habits to compensate. My fishing buddy and I made the trip upwards to "that motorcycle near the water's edge that don't run (so we've heard)" and had no luck, so we stuck close to the basalt walls and limited-out. We went back to our trusty wedding rings and this time the COLOR did make a difference. I managed to lose another lure to the Lake...a tradition continues. Our fish haul: A couple of them were 15" cutthroats; the rest were 10" - 11" cuttys and a couple of silvers. Lots of mid-sized rainbows and cuttys--- looks like next season will be another memorable one at Badger, as those fish continue to grow...
