Great afternoon of Walleye fishing today on the North confluence of Lake Roosevelt. Launched the boat out of Hunters and went north from the Hunters boat launch about a one mile. Had to fight a North wind today that blew all of the afternoon making me deploy the wind sock once again. Started fishing about 10:00 am and had a few bites with fish not committing to the hook right away. About 11:30 am when the temperatures warmed up a little the bite was on and the walleye were slamming the jig! Unlike 2 days ago the fish were biting regardless the wind condition from 80'-120' deep. The one thing I did notice today was the walleye hit better when my jig was farther from the boat and hit better when I dragged the jig on the bottom instead of a vertical up and down motion. For whatever reason they liked the jig dragging with short fast motion with the pole 3-5 inches of movement. Had the boat loaded on the trailer and headed home by 3:00 pm!!! Good luck everyone and good fishing!!!!!!!!
