My little fishing buddy and I went out today for some fresh Lake Roosevelt walleye. Winter time is our favorite time to catch these tasty Walleye in the cold waters of Lake Roosevelt. We started fishing around 1:00 pm and the first fish was caught at 94' deep right away as soon as the jig hit the bottom of the lake. We found most fish today at depths from 94'-130' deep on a 1 ounce green olive and speckled orange glow color that I came up with powder painting. The winds were on the stronger side today making us having to deploy the wind sock! For whatever reason being the fish hit better in the strong wind rather than the calm winds of the afternoon. Half an hour before dark the Walleye bite completely died off! Good luck and good Fishing everyone!!
