I have been wanting to get to Banks for a while finally got it done. Got to Northrup about 10:30, after a stop at Coulee Playland for worms and snacks.
There were about a dozen trailers at the launch. the first thing I noticed the water was way down and a bass fisherman that had just launched told me that it was down 2 1/2 feet, they are not releasing water in from the North end.
I boated over to Barker Flats and there were a few boats in that area. I started in 50' of water and put on the Dutch ghost blade with a slow death hook on one pole and a Macks smile blade worm harness on the other. It was a while before I got a hit and picked up a small perch. I trolled around the islands and picked up another perch. I changed gear a few times and changed places. But could not pick up a walleye.
so in the afternoon, I headed over to the Punchbowl and right away picked up a fat perch. Then I got a nice 12" walleye. That was about it for the day. The weather was beautiful all day no wind.
