Fished October 10-13 at Potholes. Trolled slow death rigs out at the humps all of the days and between 3 of us caught about 10 walleye each day as well as a few nice sized perch, bluegill, largemouth, and gobs of bullheads. The walleye go on and off the bite quickly and the only way I know how to tell when it happens is to have your line in the water. We trolled green, silver, and gold blades as well as a bare slow death hook with no beads and couldn’t really pick a definitive winner. Also hooked up a few nice rainbows pulling plugs when the wind picked up but only managed to land a couple. We did not pick up any oversized walleye and caught a few undersized but All of the keepers were really nice healthy fish. As always the folks at Mardon made for a pleasant experience.
