Hit Rattlesnake today because of the light wind forecasted for there. Water was so far out that no trailers would be able to launch, please take note.....unless you want to get stuck in the mud.
Right away I get a fish on a White 50 Hot Shot which has been super hot at a different lake. Firgured it would be the same after that start, but nothing the rest of the day on it. Did the best with Trout Weight Daredevle Spoons in a hammered finish ( all colors worked) and also picked up some on a Flatfish.
Fish were all about 11-12” but majority of them hit and fight like much bigger fish. 8 total anglers and a wander in the far back that got a few.
Ended up with a dozen in 4 hours work. Make sure when you go there to look up the ridge and look for any small tiny white specks in the rocks. I guess some Mountain goats got relocated there I was told by a person at the launch who actually spotted one and I had to agree and I swear it moved up the rocks as we watched. He said he saw something on TV last night. Always a scenic lake is even now more scenic.
