I had a pretty nice opportunity to fish the Columbia this past week with Rob and Hillary from Northwest Fishing Reports. With the salmon closure we suddenly had to switch tactics and change our plans. I was prepared with walleye and bass rods and we did just that. The fishing was pretty ok for most of the day pulling worm rigs and working the jigs. Lots of smallmouth and a good amount of walleye. I did manage a good one right below the John Day Dam.

Hopefully we'll get to get up and chase some silver fish around next year.
