Another great day of fishing! We motored out at 5am, set up and had our lines in the water at the bell. We trolled for about 30 minutes before we had our first fish, using the battery powered flashing (literally) flasher and a hoochie. Kept on our waypoint line and had 5 in the cooler before 8am and our last one at 8:45.

Largest was just under 10 pounds (I got to fight that one in!) The fish was so big, that Tina cropped the head out of the photo - it was disturbing to me, so I did a face-transplant from another fish and just widened the frame. :P

7 of the last 8 days we limited! WOO HOO!

Also, we're thinking up names for the boat. I'll give a list of some ideas, if you see one you like, let us know!
1. The Invisible Fishermen
2. Double Down
3. Double Stryke
4. We Argue A Lot
5. F*** off, I'm Indian

Alright. Im sucking up my pride. I gotta figure out what im doing wrong. Caught one today, released a small king and lost one. Only three bites, and was fishing same area and same time frame. Switched between diff flashers, hoochies, hi flys and spoons. Was constantly seeing fish on the graph, but they seemed lock jawed. You proved they weren’t. My speeds were 3-3.5. Always had herring strip on. Any tips?

We're trolling 30/40 early then dropping to 50/80 around 7am. Speeds are right.
We were also talking today that almost every fish we caught we were using the hot spot flashers - either the purple haze knock-off or the white with silver holographic sticker. Leader length is also KEY!! 28" - we measure every time. Yes, tipped hoochies - the light purple ones have worked best

.... curses... was using Pro -Troll ProChip ProFlash in green and/or the purple. Ace Hifly 312 I think that is the purple... leaders were 32 inches and or 27 depending on mood swing (neither worked by the way). Herring strip until the drive by miss the hook things would happen. Depths changed more often than.... running from 65 to 120 down. ---- so your not going to name the boat... buyers remorse?

We ARE naming the boat, just haven't settled on a name, and absolutely no remorse! We got it Sept 1st and have limited out every time(total of eight times) we've gone out, and the one time we didn't we still got 4 fish between 3 people. Burgundy 20 Alumaweld Stryker
