We came to Mayfield Lake over Labor Day weekend to camp and fish. Even though it was tempting to fish for some Tiger Muskie we decided to only bring our Trout tackle. We started fishing Sunday morning around 7am and fished till about 10:30. We noticed fish were near the surface and trolled with Mack's Wedding Ring tipped with a worm and green power eggs. Down riggers were not needed on this trip. We landed 12 decent sized trout on the boat (mostly over 10-12") and two over 14." We lost and released nearly as many. Great day at Mayfield, fish were very active.
