I went out with my buddy Glenn to Long to target perch. We drop shot half a night crawler in 20-25 FOW on the outside weed edges near Willow Bay. It was a great day for catching; the keeping not so much. We lost count of how many perch we caught but we kept less than one out of ten and we finished with 14 in the livewell. So 150-200 caught would not be a stretch. We also boated a few smallies, and some squaw dogs that were quickly fed to the Ospreys. I also hooked one toothy critter, about 25 inches, but he quickly lept out of the water and broke my 6 lb. fluorocarbon. So overall it was a very fun day of catching; if you have little kids and want them to catch a bunch of fish, then it doesn't get any easier than perch fishing at Long. Sorry no photos but everyone should know what a bunch of little perch look like.
