Went out saturday and sunday fishing a small river i like. Saturday was spent primarily flyfishing for char and resident rainbows, mostly indicator and bead. Although i did bring my switch rod to do some spey casting. I did get one massive tight line grab right in the middle of the swing, after a few headshakes a small chinook busted the surface and my fly popped out of its mouth, ohh well. We ended up catching 3 bull trout up to 22" and several rainbows to about 14" on the beads.
Next day another friend and i got out, we took an entirely different approach, mostly focusing on centerpinning , spoons, and twitching jigs, buddy caught a whopper cutty, probably 20"+ cutty, i landed a 18" cutty, a small summer run steelhead, a chinook and an even year pink salmon , aswell as some small tiddler rainbows for both of us. Needless to say, it was a pretty decent couple days on the river.
