Fished tail end of high slack through ebb tide. Waters were extremely calm. Again eelgrass slick running north/south through Possession.
Dropped lines by 5:45 at 20' and 30'. First fish on about 60 seconds after second line set. Decent sized resident at around 5 pounds. Fished two Superbait 3" mini plugs (Hot Melon, Black Jack and Green Magic) for the morning.
Had 5 more hookups in the next 30-40 minutes. Two double hookups. One a very good 9 pounder. Other was smaller. On the borderline of worth keeping. Let it go to grow up more.
Second double hookup about 10 minutes later. Landed what seemed like a real porker at 11 pounds compared to what we've been seeing this month in A10. Other was a more standard 4 pounder.
Done for the day with limits in less than an hour.
Wondering if maybe the first of the ocean run have arrived? Again, very few boats on the water. Seemed like those that came out got fish.
