Another day on the Puyallup River, this time with Austin and Uncle Ricky. We mainly fished the high tide with many different combinations of lures and such i.e. corkies, spinners, jigs and a spoon or two with no luck. Austin was into a fish for a bit but it managed to spit the hook. I will be returning next week to continue fishing the Puyallup. It may be just too darn early to really get into the salmon action...

That was the story for myself and most everybody I talked to today. No hookups. Nothing rolling. River seemed empty. Hope it gets better

Fishing the lower river has been ok. Too early for lures or jigs. Gotta wait till October or November when water clears up.

Thanks for your comment on my posting. Are eggs the best option right now?

Eggs probably wont work... Unless they are putting out a lot of scent the river is too Chocolate milk for fish to see them.
