OK, for some reason I knew it was too hot today to fish Mineral, and that I should have waited until the weather cools later in the week, but of course I ignored my instincts since I had my fishing gear tuned nicely. Well what the heck was I thinking - Right? Not only was I skunked on trout but I saw no one on the lake, on shore or in a boat that had a single fish. There were a lot of aquatic weeds in the lake that made it very difficult to still fish, and there were just a ton of little perch that were in the 3-4" range that were kinda fun at first but the novelty wore off quickly as they would either steal your bait or take the hook deep. I fished with Worms, Power Bait, Power Eggs, Power Worms, Glo-Mallows, Salmon Eggs and many combinations of these baits. I did not try any spinners or flatfish.
