Brook Trout! Their everywhere! Nothing bigger than 7", smallest was about 4. My party and I were fishing from shore. Worms are best, powerbait works too (the little orange nibblets) . My party and I were successful with bobber and without. SPECTACULAR place to take kids. My 5 Year old nephew caught his first. We ate quite a few of them, the cleaning was especially painstaking. Making a 5 y/o clean his first catch, PRICELESS. They taste great too!

Its going to be busy on the weekend. Probably 30 cars parked and camping, plus people coming in n out. The road is tough in a few spots, however, a mid 90's ford escort was parked up at the lakes. if he can make it, you can probably make it too... but i would HIGHLY recommend a vehicle with high ground clearance. 4wd isnt necessary but it definitely helps a bunch. Like i said though... dude did it in a ford escort.

Thanks for the report, glad you caught some more fish! Brookies can be good eating too.

Sounds like a good time.
Don’t forget that when fishing with bait, your day is done when you catch 5 trout, (regardless of whether you keep them) Thanks for your report.

Yeah, hate to pile on, but please remember that every trout caught on bait counts toward your limit, even the little guys. Twin lakes is a most beautiful spot and one of my favorite places to car camp. Glad the kids and you had a fun time!!!
