Fished the Brewster pool and Chelan Falls, Thursday evening to Saturday morning. Got our limits of sockeye each day by by 730. Released 2 hatchery kings as well that were fun to fight amongst the boats. After getting sockeye we trailered to Chelan Falls Friday and were on the water agin by 930. Went 1/2 on kings before they shut the river down because of the fire. Pink squiddy with 2 small pink corkies b/t hooks and pink/chrome smile blade. Most of our fish were caught 17-20 ft down on 14-17 inch leaders. Tried to hit Chelan again Saturday after sockeye and got closed again before we even got the lines wet. Although we did well it seemed like the cannon ball method was very productive for alot of boats as well.

Hi, great report, thank you. Do you know what the fire situation is presently or what the name of the fire is restricting access? I’ll look it up. I’m hoping to head up there.

It was the Beebe bridge fire. They closed it due to helicopters dipping in the river and fixed wing above the bridge. I believe its contained now. We watched it start while we fished right near campground and launch. Good luck. Seems like the bite is on until 930 or so then its a bonus to pick up a fish in the heat.

Looking good old friends. Good haul of fish right there. I wonder how long the Brewster Pool will continue to kick out sockeye limits?
