Sorry . my brother and I decided to fish Silver Lake over Labor Day weekend , we arrived at the Silver Lake Resort on Friday and started fishing on Saturday. We used buzzbaits, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and sinkos, we fished all speeds and depths all over the lake. Two and a half days of hard fishing produced 22 bass, 1 bluegill, 1 perch, and 1 grass carp that hit a baby bass plug. All fish were released and the biggest bass was almost 3lbs. most were 6 to 10 inches. The biggest fish was the carp which weighed around 4 to 5 lbs, put up one heck of a fight. The weather changed from a high front to a low with colder temps and some rain and some sun. Most of the people we talked to said the fishing was slow and the bass were small, alot of the fishermen that we saw looked to be after perch or crappie by the way they were fishing. Just being out with my brother made the trip great and any fish we caught just added to the trip. While looking at the pictures from this year at the resort alot of 3lbs. and above bass were caught but from the pictures I do not know how many were released. I am not an all release fisherman and I keep fish just not bass. Hope to go back some day and maybe we will get better weather because this lake holds some big bass. Good luck, and good fishing.
