First cast at about 7AM. I believe on the 4th or 5th cast, with the dropshot, I got a nice thump. Set the hook and was playing with the fish. Digs down and rip some drag. Stays down going back and forth, then it just pops off. Guessing has to be at least a 2# unless foul hooked. Bummer. Several more casts and I get myself a dink in the area.

Moved around and fished mainly in deeper waters. Caught fish from about 10-45' of water. Most were in the 15-25' zone for me. Only 1 in the 45' zone, which was a little over 2#.

Caught 13 or 14 SMB total. 3 were over 2# with biggest @ 2.47#. Check out its bad eyeball. Majority were those 13-15" with a couple being a bit smaller. By noon, it was pretty toasty out on the water. I lost 2 that I'm comfortable in saying they were at least 2#, even though I didnt see them. Basing it on the fish staying down and ripping drag. All on dropshot today.

Nice report sir. I haven't been fishing for almost two weeks so I am breaking the streak tomorrow in the salt chasing salmon. Will post a report tomorrow.

You do write an interesting - easy to read report. I enjoy reading them. I have also had many pleasant days fishing for bass and perch on Lake Sammamish in years past.

On the Sammamish information page, that is my GMC and Bass Tracker launching at the State Park.

Thx Bob. Maybe it's just me, but I find getting to the information page a bit clunky now on the new site.

Getting to the information page is actually pretty easy. On opening page of this site click on "Research" on the tool bar. From the drop down click on "Freshwater Lakes." Then click on the first letter of Lake Name - ie S for Sammamish. Just to the left of the lake name is "info." Click on info for lake overview and view any photos.

IIRC, on the old website, you could access the lake info right through the report for that lake. It's been a while so maybe I'm mistaken.

Not wrong, it could be done that way. In the middle above the fishing report itself there was the link named 'lake info'. Since the change I've looked for the link, not there.
