Well I spent another day at Mineral Lake, this time with my buddy Ricky. We arrived at 8:30am and decided to fish from the dock since it was pretty much empty. We started out on the northern most dock of the resort and I hooked into a sweet 13" rainbow that was nice and chunky.

After that things went down hill. I hooked the fish on my stringer and continued on my way. Next thing I hear a huge splash and there is an OTTER munching down my fat fish! Yes folks, if you fish Mineral you should be aware that the pesky little Otters will make off with your catch.

Anyway, I guess that the water temp was pretty warm since we barely got a nibble for the rest of the day.
