7/11/2018 2:28:27 PMI dont know what part of the lake you were on, but in front of camp Lutherwood on the far end there is at least one waterlogged rope that probably lost its bouy many years ago, the rope hangs mid water column and we've lost gear on it before. Its name is ghost rope.

7/11/2018 3:31:55 PMConconully upper lake has one of those too. 30 feet down in 65 feet of water. I think it is a tree laying off the hip of a contour sticking out into deeper water. Lots of gear on that thing... Time to get the snorkel and mask out and go for a swim when the water level is low in Sept...

7/12/2018 2:38:24 PMWe managed to get our gear almost all the way to the surface one day, but the end of the rope wouldnt quite reach the surface and we could see in the water that the gear was snagged about 5' from the very end. It also looked like there were already shiny objects broken off on it. Lost a flasher and lure that day and still tell stories about it.
