Great looking lake!! Again, lots of rocks around the launch and loads of ski boats! It was like fishing in a washing machine most of the time but doable. I started from the launch and just cut across to the pads. Lots of stringy weeds outside the pads right now. I tried Senkos and frogs around here, even a swim jig but it just didn't feel active if that makes sense? I motored down to the docks and steeper banks figuring the fish were probably getting into their transition areas before summer temps hit. Very first dock and a 2lber grabbed my Senko very shallow up under a dock that terminated in about 9 feet of water. I lost it at the boat being too aggressive with the landing. Next cast and his little buddy half pounder grabbed on and came to the boat. I caught a couple more half's on the Senko and had what I imagine were perch terrorizing my jigs. I was hungry and tired and getting sea sick (jk) so I decided to cut back across the lake and fish the shady side by the road working my way back to the launch. Lots and lots of laydowns over here so out cam the Texas rig! About twenty minutes in I felt the unmistakable tap as my bait sank near a log, I bowed up and new it was a better fish finally! The fish fought great and wiggle loose as I was lifting it into the boat, fortunately it landed in the boat! Went just shy of 3lbs, success! (pic in the bass fishing forum in my county challenge thread). I fished the rest of the way to the launch and only saw one other bass bust on some fry right by the launch. Great looking lake and I will explore it more in the future with the big boat!
