Our walleye bite on potholes has been ok to unbelievable depending on the day for the last 2 weeks. If the breeze stops the trout have kept us entertained with lots of them 3-5lbs. The key to quality table far trout with 70+ degree water temp is bleeding them immediately in the net, gutting them and getting them on ice. Amazing smoked on the treager!
Lots of 20-22" eyes lately. Crab creek has been producing best. Slow death bare or with your favorite smile blade. Cranks will produce but it is hard to keep the trout off a #5 flicker shad or shad rap. We did get a 7lb+ eye (released) pulling cranks Monday when the wind came up 25mph. I have openings Wednesday and Thursday, July 4 and 5 due to a cancellation. Scattered openings available after July 16.
