Solid morning on the lake. Caught 4 Cutts with the biggest in the pic. Lost 2 other Cutts and had a few drive bys. Caught the fish on 3 different setups. Used an Old Goat lure in the frog pattern, a purple wiggle hoochie, and a orange wedding ring. Finished the day Smallmouth fishing and caught 4 bass. Not a bad morning. Fished the South end of Mercer to Coulon. The overcast kept the pleasure boaters at home. Thanks to my fishing pal Emilio for a great morning.

Sounds if you put the lure in front of the cutts, they hit it. Any particular depth better? Good report - thanks.

My mistake. I didn’t use the Old Goat today even though it is quite effective. I used the God’s tooth spoon in the frog pattern. I was fishing 25’-40’ on the wire.

This report by Markin' Fish simply reinforces my opinion the REAL Cutthroat Jewell of the west coast is Lake Washington and its right under the nose of a major U.S. population center which is Seattle. Learn how to fish it and it will treat you extremely well with broad shouldered and very hard fighting native Cutthroat. The photo by Markin' Fish says it all.
