First cast at about 7:20AM. Started off with top water in the shades to see how it'll go. 1 hr into it without a sign of life. Started tossing dropshot and swimbaits here and there. Didnt take long to catch 1 on the DS. Just a pounder SMB. I decide to toss out the jerkbait too. First cast with it, fish on! Looked like it was just under 2#. Thought maybe i was on a jerkbait bite day. But that as it for bass. Caught me 3 perch on the jerkbait. 2 were pretty decent size, about 10" or so. But check out this knocker of a perch.

Tossed a wacky rig here and there. Caught a 1# SMB at end of boat lift. Went back to the DS and caught more SMB. Checked out some deep summer holes but no bites on those yet.

Even though it's not super hot, was getting fatigued really quick out on the water so started to head in early. Ended with 3 SMB close to 2#, handful of 1# and smaller, and 3 perch. Sad this is considered average now.

Thanks for the report. Hit Lk. Wash. this morning for 2 hours and in the first 10 minutes I had two fish that were about a pound and then it was dead for an hour and a half. Ended up catching one more all on wacky rigged senko.

I'm actually going to hit up the big lake tomorrow to change it up. It'll be an early trip or short one since I don't want to melt.

That is one bad @ss perch. I'll bet those Sammamish perch could totally beat up the Sawyer perch I've been catchin'.
