In trying to scratch off Island County from my list I took the Jon Boat over to this lake to give it a go. I've heard there are bass in here but I only found one 10" specimen and he didn't make it to the boat.

The trout are more than willing and I caught one on a Senko in five feet of water between a dock and some lily pads...it measured 17 inches.

The lake has a long narrow road with parking on each side that leads to an open gate. There is a large gravel 'turnaround' area at the launch and it is posted "no parking" so rigs with trailers can get in, turnaround and get back out. Unless your skilled at backing a trailer, then you could just back all the way down from the main road.

I was never able to add Island County's Deer Lake to my bass list either. I only fished it one time back in June 1993. I do have a couple of Island County lakes on my list however - Cranberry and Pondilla. Cranberry would be an easy one for you - Pondilla requires a short carry in. An interesting note on Cranberry - I caught a 17 inch Brown Trout on a floating Rapala on the surface.

I pondered Cranberry and it might have to do? This challenge is shaping up to be a bit of a monster lol
