just curious, what do you do with the eggs?

Thank you for every thing you do Mike!

I like to open up the sack and count how many eggs are in it. ??

I’m so tired of that question. “Ok, google. What do I do with shad eggs ?”

sorry, just curious what you do with them, not what other people do.

Very rude and inappropriate reply and requires an apology. Great question. I know nothing about shad fishing, had the same question and would have thought asking the original poster was complimentary. I personally wouldn't care if you ever posted again.

Just say you eat them. Doesn't hurt to get into more details. You throw some herbs and wrap it in foil and bake it. Or even fry with the fish. Or just don't reply back.

I counted 38,479 in one sack.

Well that was pretty rude to respond that way to Mike, did you know that without him this site probably does not exist?

I Googled it. Shad roe is a delicacy in Europe. People cook it in butter. Many like it at breakfast. Some people say it is their favorite fish meal in Spring.

What a douchebag. If someone asks a simple question, about what you do with the shad roe, just f*cming answer it and say you eat it. I’ve tried shad roe fried in butter with onions and lemon. It’s ok. Not something I would eat again though.

Every one so sensitive about everything. The question was answered.

I agree. That's a rude response.
That's a lot of fish.

Ok google , why are people’s feelings so easily hurt?

google replied "Because this site was created by like minded people who are willing to share a little local knowledge about the abundant fisheries we have in this part of the country. That includes knowledge on how to catch, clean and prepare for consumption the bounty we pursue." So San, That is why people are so sensitive, and your short and rude response only aggravated things. If you don't want people to ask what you do with the roe then maybe you should consider not posting in general.

BAM, what he said. I have had some negative comments about "secret spots" but at least I wasn't a jerk to the man in charge!

I don't think anyone is being too sensitive or their feelings hurt.
A man and fellow fisherman ask you a simple question and you reply with sarcasim. Not a big deal. We're just pointing out to you, that your'e being a dick., that's all. It's your option and perogative .

Congratulations san on a couple of great days shadding. I saw your pic and wondered the same thing as Mike. Never caught a Shad and wondered if you (or anyone) used their eggs for steelhead or salmon? They look prime, like maybe a good source for the following fall/winter if hens are hard to come by. Had no idea they are good for the table - interesting. I echo Bent hook pontoon's sentiment Mike - great job and thanks for everything.

My guess is that he’s a younger guy that thinks he’s the cats meow because he caught a bunch of shad. The report in general is pretty sophomoric. Numbers and no actual helpful information for others. It’s a shame that due to social media the younger generation actually prefers to not interact with others. Id like to ask San the same question that mike did, but in person. Pretty much guarantee he wouldn’t reply like that to my face, or any other mans for that matter. He’ll figure it outin 10 years or so, hopefully...

You'd be surprised how many older egotistical narcissist neophytes there are on social media too. In general though i can't disagree. I bet you're right.
