Went out to the lake after work, just kinda had the bug. Caught a few decent bass, was just walking around making cast, not really taking my time like I should switchin between a senko and a Rage Toad. Saw a pretty good sized blow up at the end of a fallen tree, decided to just walk over and check it out, saw a huge school of bass fry. I assumed the blow up was the male guarding his little babies, took one cast with a Rage Toad got blown up just a few cranks into my cast. Probably the biggest bass I’ve caught out of the small man made lake. Started getting later in the evening and was seeing fish surface for flies. Ran back to the car and pulled out the fly rod. Threw on a dry fly, caught several sunfish and micro bass. Jumping started to die down so I threw on a brown Woolley bugger, second cast with the woolley bugger and I got slammed. Had some weight so I knew it was either a decent size bass or a rainbow. Didn’t fight at all like a bass after I hooked it and just as I suspected it was a nice Rainbow. Honestly shocked me haha, took three more casts, and landed three more nice bows. Must of had a school cruising by, caught them all one after another. Took a few more cast to see if I couldn’t get my limit of bows, didn’t get another bite so I decided to call it a night. The bows were the icing on the cake!
