A friend and I took our kayaks to Padden and trolled flies and wedding rings from 6:30 to dusk. We saw a lot of fish rising toward the end of the evening, but couldn't get any of them to bite. At least it was a pretty evening on the water.

Surprised to hear about the slow evening out there! I've only been focusing on Padden with my flyrod lately, but I have been catching quite a few on a very slow retrieve or troll with a couple of fly patterns. Black leech has been good, but a fly similar to this picture has been a big producer:

Thanks Kisutch! I was surprised too. We tried a couple of woolly bugger and leech variations, but nothing like the link you posted. I'll have try it out next time.
