This report is for the dates 5-25 to 5-28. To lazy to write a report for every day. Got to say a great several days fishing. Only thing that kept it from being a 5 star day was the wake boarders and jet skis who seem to search me out so they can go round and round my boat when there is a whole lake and tons of other fishermen to bother. I know you're thinking you must have been fishing right next to me with the same experience. Makes you feel like you are in a washing machine at times. The bite was great though. Lots of nice size fish. Perfect eating size. Couple big ones. Was able to pull off the family and friends fish fry with left overs for tacos, snacks and still bring home ten pounds for the freezer. Much better than this same time last year. Was like the 2008 season which was also crazy good. I keep track. Fish weren't quite as big as that year, but still great fun. Fished in 8 to 13 feet of water for the most part for the best success. Seemed perch pattern worm harness worked the best for us. Orange Wally Pops worked well also. Perch crank baits and Flicker Shad worked fair early on in the morning. Didn't seem to matter where we fished. The fish seemed to be there, except I found little way north. Didn't do much passed Connely Park going north. Speed seemed to be a key factor depending on time of day. Seemed 1.3 to 1.4 in the morning and speeding up a little towards afternoon. Up to 2.2 miles an hour. Had to go a little faster to control the boat in the wind also so I was glad that worked out.
