I had one last Springer trip booked and my clients decided to bail! They are going to regret that decision! Fishing remains solid in the Gorge! I was able to take my father and son out for a fun family day and we were blessed with 3 limits of awesome Columbia River Springers! Even after many years of fishing the Gorge in April and May for these Springers, I never get tired of a great day on the water! We were trolling superbaits for the most part and got most of our fish suspended about 1/2 way down in the water column. Using your electronics is very important for the Gorge fishery to locate where the fish are for the day. Annually, I do 8-10 days in the Gorge each Spring for these fish.
