My husband and I just return from 2-weeks camping on the Little Pend Oreille area. We fished primarily on Lake Thomas. He caught 4 good sized rainbow- the biggest was 15"- the others averaged 10-12". They were caught with a green and black super duper tailed with powerbait grub. I caught perch and lots of weeds!!!! Worst year we've ever had during our 2-week camping trip for the last 8 years up there. Absolute paradise! The people there/homeowners are so friendly and kind. The only boat launch dock is a little dangerous with missing boards-especially at night. Can't complain too much with being so late in August with the heat and all those fishermen before us. The fish just weren't hungry and the water surface was thick with nats. noticed a great reduction in ducks and bats this year too. Not sure what is going on with the wildlife up there. Good luck to all who head that direction!
