well folks sammamish is still absolutely on fire. Here is a combined report from Saturday Sunday, and today (Monday).

Saturday: on the water at 6:30 with lines in the water at 7. right away we find fish and we stay on the school. we used Reli Lures Diamond Flash Spinners and kokanee trolling flies. the fish were up in the 20-25 foot range. in 3 hours we had our limits plus one incredible 20+" kokanee.

Sunday: I had the pleasure of having Isaiah Raether of Reli Lures in the boat with the client. in less than 90 minutes we had the client's limit of gorgeous 17-19" trout in the box . we fished for a while longer then dropped the client off and went after our fish after a breakfast break. deciding to search a new area, we went far north in the lake and fished shallow. fishing was decently productive, however we were having more success in deeper water. the shallow water bite you had to drag your gear directly through trout feeding on smolt, however with the deeper water, fish were willing to travel farther to hit your lure.

Monday: well, the bite was electric. we averaged a fish every 10 minutes and had our limits in two hours. we also had an incredibly gorgeous wild rainbow take the bait today, so incredible to see such a gorgeous fish. Old Goat Lures 1.8" OG1's stole the show today. the deeper bite was all old goats and the shallow bite was all Reli Lures diamond flash and flies. another incredible day on the water!

huge thank you to Old Goat Lures and Reli Lures for helping put fish in the cooler!

we still have lots of dates available in June and a couple weekdays next week available, so book your trip now to target these delicious and fun fighting fish! additionally, the yellow perch and panfish are beginning to show up in shore, so combo trips are now available!

whether it be trout/panfish combo, or just trout or panfish, Fast Action Fishing Adventures has the trip for you!

Enjoyed your 3 days of fishing report, Paul. Its my opinion the Old Goat in a OG1 1.8 and OG 2.44 would be a real killer for my Lake Washington Cutthroat if it were available in a color combination of blue, white and silver to simulate bait fish found in Lake Washington. I'm currently using the Ace Hi Fly Junior #344 in the blue spatter back color combination for that need, however, I think the Old Goat with its outstanding action very well could be a better choice.

Man send Rmrauscher a message. they do have that color scheme, and he crushes it on lake wa with them. we will be using them in the derby coming up.

Rmrauscher is a Western Washington field tester for Old Goats, he essentially pioneered their use out in the salt for blackmouth and man now they are the hot thing. they kill it on lake Washington too.

Great report. Dumb question... how do you tell a wild rainbow from a planted rainbow?

adipose fin clipped-hatchery not clipped-wild

for lots of cases, that is correct. lake Roosevelt and those where the trout are planted and only hatchery ones can be kept that is the case. On lake Sammamish, no trout are planted so it is a wild.

also not a dumb question, a very good one! glad I could help

all the more reason to limit the number of fish we take out of a lake that is not planted.
