Hit the local pond after work with a couple hours free time to see if I could catch a few bluegill and trout.
Wind was non existent, light sprinkles were on and off.
The first half hour was a little slow losing three timid fish right off the bat then things seemed to take off.... over the next hour and a half I limited on rainbow trout and caught 11 bluegill.
Bluegill were all caught using a size 2 panther Martin with fire tiger blade and blue bell long line trolled very slow; rainbows were all caught on a tiny size one all black panther Martin (black bell, black blades) also long line trolled (this lure seems to be absolutely addictive to rainbow trout it always produces no matter when and where...)
Just got back into fishing about a year ago after my dad passed away and I inherited his little aluminum boat. Seems I have caught the same fishing bug he always had that I couldn’t understand as a child... funny how life works like that.
Caught 16 fish in two hours which was the best day fishin I had ever had. This is my first post.
