I was targeting bass today but ended up catching four species of fish. I caught 3 Smallmouth (biggest being close to 2#), 1 rock bass, a couple of perch and a big Squawfish. All fish were caught on plastics. Dropshot, Ned rig, and Senko. Most fish were caught in 8-14 feet of water. Great day on the water. Only fished for 2.5 hours.

Whoa, that is a big fat squaw. The ones from Sammy are usually slender.

If you catch squawfish in lakes are you supposed to kill them? I know you are on the Columbia.

I asked someone at WDFW once about squaws in WA and Sammamish. Asked if I should just be killing then. They said that they couldn't tell me to just catch and kill but i was free to do what I wanted with the fish. Not sure how official that answer is but that's what I heard the one time I asked.

I should have bonked him. I caught 2 more the other day. They are everywhere.
