We put the boat in the water at 4:45pm and pulled out at 7:00. The weather was sunny, no clouds and about 70-75°.

Having never fished Panther before, we weren't sure what exactly to use so we started with a dodger and fly on 2 poles and put an orange wedding ring with a small weight on my son's pole. He got the first strike within a few minutes and landed an 11" rainbow. We ended up all switching to that gear. In the couple hours we were on the lake, we had lots of bites and landed 5 fish in the boat.

The kiddos had a blast and it was a great way for the daily to start the fishing season.

Clarkbre, I haven't seen you on here in more than a few years?

If I recall you have nearly the same Lund as I do. I think that you had done a lot of work on it, building a casting deck, etc?
Anyway, good see you back here.

Didn't realize my name and boat were that recognizable...and that I might have been missed a bit! Yep, still have the customized Lund WC16 and getting back into fishing full force. I honestly haven't done much fishing in the last few years as my kids were pretty young. Now, 8 and 5, they are ready to go out in the boat and hit the lakes. We also bought a travel trailer last year and really focused on that which caused us to miss a lot of fishing. So, still have the Lund and have also got an Intex Mariner 4 inflatable boat to take with the travel trailer. Now that I can get on the water in multiple ways, I should be a bit more active here!
