Fished Lake Samish again on Sunday morning. We were on the water about 8:30, the weather was beautiful and the lake was like glass. There were a lot of boats out compared to the Sunday before when we were the only boat on the lake.
We fished several areas including the small end of the lake picking up a couple of small cutthroat but no kokanee. To make a long story short about 11:30 I decided to try the area along the North end up to where the lake narrows and finally found the kokanee! In the next 2 hours we picked up 8 kokanee and another small cutthroat with multiple drive-by's and lost fish.
The lure of the day was the God's tooth spoon in 50/50 blue and chrome behind a 50/50 dick nite dodger. The pink God's tooth also did very well.
One other quick note, on another report I posted on Lake Samish someone commented asking if I had had any trouble with the parking area and and I replied that I hadn't. Well it finally happened. My son met us at the lake driving his own truck, when we loaded up and he went to leave he noticed that his fuel gauge had magically gone from half a tank to pegged on empty!! He parked next to my truck in the main row of trucks and trailers about 15 stalls above the AIS inspection station. He also noticed a small car parked at the end of the row with a couple of people just sitting in it but didn't think anything of it. Pretty sad. Anyways,
Good luck out there and stay safe.

Nice report! Sad that this kind of thing is becoming more and more commonplace.

Also sad to read of the fuel theft, may want to invest in a locking gas cap?

Thanks, I really like the action on your spoons! I had bought them last summer hoping to test them out on my annual trip to Sheridan Lake B.C. Unfortunately with the forest fires last summer we had to cancel the trip, but I just called and reserved a cabin for early August. I will be sure to let you know how they work on the big rainbows up there!
