Fished from about 1230 to 530. Mostly trolled but also did some casting and some dead drifting. Weather was amazing! Fished a lot of different set ups including wedding rings, triple teasers and flatfish. Had best luck on triple teaser and worm being drifted. Ended up with 5 fish to the boat and several other missed fish. One was a beautiful 18-20 inch fish. It was quite dark but was very beautiful. Got it on a worm drifting with the wind. Overall a fun day and a cool lake to visit. Did notice that the big fish had red worms coming out of its mouth or gills.

NIce, all those bigger fish are rainbow holdovers or native cutthroat trout. I usually troll, but haven't fished it since it was unexpectedly stocked with little catchables this year. I would guess that the fishing will get better from here on out! Sawyer is definitely one of my favorite local lakes!
