It started the day slow fishing out at Dry Lake in manson launched out the south shore of the lake. Trolled with rapala lures but as I quickly found out it was not a good idea. They kept getting stuck on the seaweeds. So I quickly changed to roster tails and started getting hits. Small Large mouth bass kept bitting and then out of nowhere I find my self bringing in a Tiger Trout which caught me out of surprise. Thru out the day kept catching Tiger Trouts was a good experience ??????

Are those naturally occurring or are they stocked? Such a cool looking fish

Nice report and photos - I still like to read about those lakes that I will never be able to fish again. I did have the opportunity to fish Dry Lake a couple of times back in the 1990s. The Rapala 11P was my hot lure. I caught Bass, Crappie and Bluegill - all on that same lure. My best bass was a dandy - 21 1/4 inches, 5 pounds and 14 ounces. Pictures of the bass and the road side launch site is shown on the Dry Lake information on this site.

@Inflatablefishing11,

They stocked the lake I am familiar with in the area near Loomis, about 6 years ago. I will be back there in a couple weeks. Great to see a different species getting some airtime.

To many blue gills on the lake. I’m assuming that’s why the lake got stocked

What's the boat launch like? Always wanted to try this lake.

Looks good I’ve seen regular bass boats on the lake. Pretty accessible
